The objective of this conference was to strengthen the efficacy of this document in the sense of improving its contents and presentation, as well as the way to make it reach different interested parties. Specific were given on how to strengthen the environmental statement, considering creativity and innovation when developing and publicising it, as well as promoting an exchange of experiences among the attending organisations.
Member companies sent in their respective environmental statements and these were evaluated by a group of experts, who suggested ways to improve them to each company. This group of experts was comprised of representatives from the Catalan competent body, accredited environmental verifiers, environmentalists, communications and design experts, consumer associations and the expert team from the Club EMAS.
